ISSN: 3029-1682(Online)
Supply Chain Research (SCR) is an open-access journal. SCR refers to the study of raw material, parts, equipment, products, services, and capital flows in the industrial chain. It also includes the digitalization of supply chain, and the main scene is the digitalization of information flow, capital flow and logistics activities in the supply chain. Manuscripts related to the research and application of supply chain are very welcomed.

The article processing charges is $800 per article.
en-USeditorial_office@as-pub.com (Managing Editor)Fri, 20 Sep 2024 10:44:10 +0800OJS 3.1.1.0http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss60Structure of logistics management from a computer perspective
https://ojs.as-pub.com/index.php/SCR/article/view/6560

In the context of digitalization, some objectives and functions of logistics management can be transferred to digital twins equipped with modern information technologies and tools. However, significant revision of theory and methodology of management is needed to maximize the potential of these technologies and tools. The problem of effective use of digital logistics management is complicated because some management objects are non-physical related to human activity and difficult to digitize and algorithmize. In this article, based on terminological analysis, as well as descriptive and faceted methods of qualitative research, following results are obtained: a typical structure of logistics management of a supply chain link is developed; the place of logistics management of a focal enterprise in three-link supply chain is determined; features of the structure of logistics management implemented at the junction of supply chain links are clarified; a typical organizational structure of logistics management division is proposed; a system of binary codes of logistics management objects has been developed for their correct transfer into the structure of instances and aggregate of a digital twin. The value of the study lies in the creation of theoretical and methodological prerequisites for the digitalization of non-physical objects of logistics management in order to develop rational management decisions using the digital twin containing blocks: consumer value; management system; chain in statics and dynamics; environmental factors.
Alexey Tyapukhin

https://ojs.as-pub.com/index.php/SCR/article/view/7963

This paper examines the role of Humanitarian Construction Logistics (HCL) in the swift construction of COVID-19 hospitals in Wuhan, China. These hospital-construction projects had been achieved professionally in despite of their complexities from an organizational and logistical perspectives such as limited time span, integration of multiple equipment and services, and need to coordinate multiple organizations and stakeholders participating in these projects. Drawing from observations and data from this emergency construction projects, we identify key lessons learned and discuss their implications for enhancing future disaster response efforts. Our analysis underscores the significance of effective management, prefabricated unit modules, transportation strategies, materials management, timescale management, and project management in streamlining emergency construction processes. By addressing these aspects, we aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of humanitarian construction logistics globally, build strategic approach on how to coordinate the logistics flows to and from construction sites in emergency context, and present humanitarian construction logistics as a daily operations issue in humanitarian operations instead of approach in an ad hoc manner.
Bashar Khoury, Sylvain Chartron, Huay LingTay

https://ojs.as-pub.com/index.php/SCR/article/view/8992

This article presents an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems related to the introduction of digital technologies in industry, with a special focus on artificial intelligence. The author develops a methodological framework based on the principles of creating artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, which makes it possible to overcome the shortcomings identified during the research. Artificial intelligence is a system of intelligent machines with the necessary computing resources and algorithms that ensure their ability to learn. To improve the efficiency of production processes, the author proposes a project that combines the principles of Industry 4.0 with advanced digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, at the enterprise level. The result of this work was the successful implementation of a carefully developed digital platform model that integrates artificial intelligence within Industry 4.0.
Aleksey G. Tashkinov

https://ojs.as-pub.com/index.php/SCR/article/view/8884

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices have become increasingly important in driving sustainable and resilient financial performance, particularly in emerging markets like Bangladesh. This study examines the impact of ESG integration on both financial and non-financial outcomes across key sectors, including banking, textiles, energy, and telecommunications. Using a mixed-methods approach, it combines quantitative analysis of return metrics, volatility, and higher-order statistical moments with qualitative insights from ESG disclosures and corporate case studies. The results show that ESG-compliant firms consistently outperform traditional counterparts, demonstrating higher returns, lower volatility, and stronger resilience during economic downturns. Sectoral analysis reveals significant cost savings in energy and textile firms, and a 10–15% increase in foreign investment inflows for ESG-aligned banks. The study also addresses methodological justifications for the use of ESG thresholds and risk indicators, offering a more nuanced understanding of ESG’s predictive value. However, challenges such as regulatory inconsistencies, high implementation costs, and data limitations particularly among SMEs continue to hinder wider adoption. The research concludes by advocating for standardized ESG reporting, financial incentives, and stronger policy frameworks to foster long-term, sustainability-driven economic growth in Bangladesh.
Tamim Forhad Shuvo, Md.
