International Journal of Value Engineering (VE) is an international open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing highly professional research in all fields related to value engineering. All manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process, to ensure quality and originality. We are interested in the original research discoveries. This journal also features a wide range of research in ancillary areas relevant to construction engineering. Abstract In the current urban environmental operation system, domestic waste transfer stations, as indispensable transfer hubs in the collection, transportation and treatment of solid waste, are playing an increasingly important role. At the same time, with the gradual expansion of the scope of garbage collection and transportation, the increasing environmental requirements for sewage, odor, and noise, as well as the increasingly mature concept of building and environment coordination, and garden type base, large underground domestic garbage transfer stations are increasingly becoming the preferred optionfor engineering construction. Based on a project of an underground domestic waste transfer station in Hangzhou, this article analyzes the keypoints related to the construction and management of the transfer station in terms of its construction mode, process logistics, construction difficulties, operational efficiency, and stability maintenance work,with a view to providing reference and reference for the management and control of similar projects in the future.

Abstract In order to solve the problems of difficult control and easy deformation in the construction of inclined shaft leading￾in tunnel in Kras Guiyang metro station, the inclined shaft leading-in tunnel in Beijing Road station of Metro Line 3 is taken as an example. This paper puts forward the key construction technology of the top-lifting conversion of the inclined shaft entering the main tunnel, condenses the construction scheme, the construction flow and the construction key technology, and realizes the safety, the order, the fast and the high quality in the whole top-lifting conversion process. It not only ensures the safety construction of this project, but also provides reference for other similar projects.

Abstract There is a common problem of insufficient application of risk management by local state-owned enterprise owners in the actual project management process. It is of great significance to research and use scientific methods to sort out, monitor, and manage various risks existing in the project, in order to achieve the goal of achieving good economic and social benefits after the project is completed. This article elaborates on the steps and methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis of project risks for local state-owned enterprises. The results indicate that the application of checklist method and expert scoring method can determine the indicator system for risk assessment of projects, and the weight of indicators at each level can be determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process. The project can be evaluated using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.

Abstract Taking the mass concrete of the main pier bearing platform of a super large bridge in an expressway construction project in Chongqing as the research object, the temperature field within 336 hours after the pouring of the bearing platform is numerically simulated and analyzed by using Midas FEA finite element software, the curves of temperature field with time when the inlet temperature is 10℃, 15℃ and 20℃ are emphatically analyzed. Through the finite element results, the law of hydration heat of cap is familiar, the temperature control scheme is determined and the reasonable pipe cooling design is carried out, so as to guide the construction. The results show that the temperature and crack control are more favorable when the inlet temperature of condensing pipe is 10℃.

Abstract In response to the construction technical problem that the grout is prone to back flow during the grouting process of the steel sleeve grouting connection joint of the assembled integral concrete structure, the problem solving process is first analyzed using TRIZ theory, and then the creative solution is obtained using tools such as final ideal solution, causal analysis, resource analysis, contradiction analysis, physical field analysis, and innovative design software. Finally, the creative solution is evaluated and a series of simple and feasible solutions that are worth further research are proposed, such as expanding the grouting sleeve, placing the grouting material in a magnetic field in advance, ultrasonic vibration of the grouting material, and automatic sealing of the grouting opening. This provides ideas for solving the problem of slurry backflow, and also provides a reference for the application of TRIZ theory in the field of civil engineering.
