Abstract
Fiber optic monitoring technology demonstrates unique technical advantages and significant application value in oil and gas field . This paper systematically introduces the fiber optic monitoring technology from three dimensions: basic principle, deployment method and technical advantages, and focuses on its application in key areas, including real-time downhole parameter monitoring, reservoir dynamic monitoring, wellbore integrity monitoring, and safety production and risk warning.Practice shows that fiber-optic monitoring technology, as a modern monitoring means integrating science, advancement and safety, can realize dynamic monitoring of the whole life cycle of oil and gas wells.
