Teaching Practice of College English Education in the Context of the Internet

Abstract
With the rapid development of Internet technology, college English teaching practice is undergoing profound changes. The Internet not only provides rich and diverse resources and convenient communication platform for English teaching, but also greatly promotes the overall innovation of teaching models, methods and evaluation systems. This change requires English teachers to actively adapt to the needs of the digital age, master modern information technology, and effectively integrate it into classroom teaching to enhance students’ comprehensive English application ability and self-learning ability. At the same time, English teaching in the context of the Internet also pays more attention to cross-cultural communication and cooperation, and is committed to cultivating students’ international vision and cross-cultural communication ability. Faced with this new situation, the practice of English education and teaching in universities urgently needs continuous exploration and innovation to better adapt to the needs of the times. This paper first analyzes the current situation of college English education and teaching, then discusses the advantages of college English education and teaching under the Internet background, and puts forward corresponding strategies and suggestions on this basis, aiming to provide useful reference for the sustainable development of college English education.
