Abstract
This study explores the impact of emotional intelligence on the job performance of university lecturers and examines the mediating role of job satisfaction. Using lecturers from Shaanxi National University as the research subjects, the study investigates how emotional intelligence enhances job performance by improving work efficiency, fostering teamwork, strengthening stress management, and enhancing leadership skills. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence not only directly enhances lecturers’ teaching and research performance but also indirectly boosts performance through increased job satisfaction. Therefore, universities should focus on developing lecturers’ emotional intelligence to optimize overall education quality.
