Abstract
Based on a brief overview of the background and prospects for the development of new energy industries in China and Guangxi in the context of the world market, this paper outlines the methods used in the existing literature to measure the efficiency of new energy industries and the level of agglomeration of new energy industry clusters. Studies have shown that China and ASEAN have a large and unsaturated clean energy market, and the development of new energy industry has great potential; existing literature on China's new energy industry mainly focuses on the description of regional heterogeneity, that is, the level of agglomeration in the eastern part and agglomeration efficiency is higher than that in the central and western parts , based on which this paper broadens the perspective of the ASEAN as the representative of the Asian market, and looks at the development prospects and advantages of new energy clusters in the central and western areas of China.
