Abstract Due to the intensification of anthropogenic heat sources such as traffic, industry, commerce and residential areas in the central area of the city, the near-surface temperature in the area rises, making the urban heat island effect more obvious in the city. Using Landsat remote sensing data as the data source and Beijing as the research area, this paper inverts land surface temperature in spring, summer, autumn and winter of Beijing through radiative transfer equation, and compares four seasons temperature data, four seasons temperature distribution and four seasons heat island effect distribution. The results show that the heat island effect is more obvious in summer than in other four seasons, and the heat island effect is mainly concentrated in the second ring road of Beijing. It can be seen from the distribution map of heat island effect in winter that the heat island effect is mainly distributed in the surrounding area of Beijing city. Burning coal for heating in winter causes the temperature in the surrounding area to rise, and the temperature difference between the area and the suburbs is obvious, and the heat island effect is significant.

Abstract Accompanied by the in-depth study of hydrogen borrowing method, transition metal-catalyzed alkylation of indole C3 with N-H, which avoids the use of alkylating reagents by borrowing hydrogen activation from the substrate, is one of the hotspots of green chemistry research in recent years. The review mainly covers the literature published since 2015, which catalyzes the alkylation of indole C3 with N-H from metal complexes, removes one molecule of water, and completes the hydrogen borrowing. The Borrowed Hydrogen (BH) method is an excellent and widely recognized process without the need for a cumbersome separation process and only water is formed as a by-product.The BH approach is expected to replace the reaction using conventional alkylation reagents and give indoles (the special structure of the drug molecule) to have good reaction pathways in bonding at the C3 to N1 position and in building complex drug molecules.

Abstract With the rapid development of social economy and the gradual deepening of cooperation in the world industrial system, the industrial level of a large number of developing countries, especially China, has been significantly improved. Behind the significant rise of the industrial system, energy, as the pillar of industry, plays an irreplaceable role. As the "black gold" in the industrial system, petroleum has a wide range of applications in industries such as smelting, refining, transportation, national defense, and textiles. With the significant increase in demand for petroleum in China, the treatment of wastewater from the petroleum industry has become an unavoidable issue for researchers. At present, the water content of most oil development in China has reached over 90%. How to make inefficient wells "turn waste into treasure"? As a relevant researcher, the author has conducted a unique analysis of the methods for treating oil industry wastewater through a combination of extensive literature research and practical work, hoping to bring more help to future research work.

Focusing on two iconic buildings, the Bahrain World Trade Centre and Powerhouse Telemark, the study examines their ecological, economic, and political contributions to sustainable development. The Bahrain World Trade Centre, featuring innovative wind turbines and environmentally conscious design, demonstrates ecological sustainability. It effectively reduces solar radiation, employs district cooling systems, and utilizes renewable energy sources. The economic sustainability of the Bahrain World Trade Centre is evident through efficient wind turbines, which produce electricity and minimize operational costs. The government's endorsement and the project's environmental design reflect political sustainability. On the other hand, Powerhouse Telemark showcases its ecological sustainability through material selection, energy-efficient lighting, and solar energy utilization. This case also exemplifies economic sustainability by reducing electricity consumption and generating surplus solar energy. The building's political sustainability is evident through its contribution to the local community and its alignment with regional renewable energy goals. By comparing the two cases, this dissertation provides insights into the role of technology, architectural materials, and renewable energy sources in achieving sustainability across ecological, economic, and political dimensions.
