Viral Infections and Cancer Research (VICR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal focusing on the mechanism of viral carcinogenesis. It publishes original research articles, review articles, commentaries and other types of articles with high quality. Viral Infections and Cancer Research (VICR) covers the impact of viral genes on the stability of the host genome, and explores how viruses contribute to the development of cancer by causing host cell genome instability through a variety of mechanisms. Meanwhile, VICR investigates the mechanisms of virus-mediated immune escape and analyses how viral infection alters the tumour microenvironment, including its effects on tumour-associated immune cells, and how it promotes tumour growth and metastasis. In addition, the journal focuses on cancerous processes driven by persistent viral infections, investigating the sustained cellular damage and inflammatory responses triggered by chronic viral infections, which in turn lead to cancer development.
