Abstract

The American film series Kung Fu Panda has achieved great international attention and become a well-known IP. Using the theoretical framework of Semiotics, this paper analyzes Chinese cultural symbols in Western films, using Kung Fu Panda as an example. By decoding the visual symbols and plot symbols in this film, making suggestions for the development of Chinese cinema.
